This website is operated by Louise Attley, trading as Louise Attley Art. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Louise Attley Art.
By accessing this website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with any additional policies referenced, including our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time by posting changes to this page. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updates.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services.
Use of Website
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use this website.
You agree not to use this website or its content for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, including breaching copyright or intellectual property laws. You must not introduce viruses, malware or any harmful code.
All content on this website is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed or exploited without prior written permission.
While reasonable efforts are made to keep the website available, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and accept no liability for temporary unavailability.
Products, Pricing & Orders
All products are subject to availability and may be amended, limited or withdrawn at any time.
Every effort is made to display products accurately; however, colours and finishes may vary due to screen settings.
Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order and issue a refund where appropriate.
You agree to provide accurate and complete billing/delivery and contact information when placing an order.
Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
Right to Cancel
Customers have the right to cancel an order in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations.
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not been dispatched, we will cancel it. If an order has already been dispatched, it may be returned once it has been delivered. Please note however that personalised items cannot be cancelled if production has already begun.
Returns for Unwanted Items
If you change your mind, you may return a non-personalised item within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unused and returned in its original condition.
Please notify us before returning any item and include your order number with the return. We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
Once a return has been received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 1–2 working days. Please allow an additional 2–5 working days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

Items that have been made to order or personalised are excluded from change-of-mind returns.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or with missing items, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will offer either a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund for the affected item(s), including any applicable outward delivery charges. Please let us know your preference to a replacement or refund to help resolve the issue quickly.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order separately.
Missing or Delayed Deliveries
In rare cases, deliveries may be delayed or go missing during transit. If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us. We will offer either a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. Our maximum liability for delayed delivery is limited to the value of the order.
Statutory Rights
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by this policy. We are responsible for supplying goods that meet legal standards.
Custom & Personalised Items
Custom-made, personalised or commissioned items are non-refundable unless they are faulty, damaged, incorrect, or returned due to an error on our part.
You will also lose your right to cancel if:
- goods are unsealed and cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons, or
- goods are combined with other items after delivery and cannot be separated.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
All artwork, designs, images and content on this website are the intellectual property of Louise Attley Art and are protected by copyright law.
No artwork or content may be copied, reproduced, sold or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
Any unauthorised use of artwork may result in legal action.
Commissions
Louise Attley Art accepts commissions primarily focused on animals. Commissioned artwork may also include complementary background elements or objects where appropriate.
All commissioned artwork remains the copyright of Louise Attley Art, unless otherwise agreed in writing before the commission begins.
By commissioning artwork, the customer agrees that Louise Attley Art retains full copyright and may use the commissioned work for purposes including, but not limited to, use on products, website display, social media, marketing and promotional materials.
Commission pricing reflects this retained copyright. If a customer wishes to purchase copyright ownership and/or restrict publication or use of the commissioned artwork, this will incur an additional fee and must be agreed in advance.
The customer is granted a licence to display the original commissioned artwork for personal, non-commercial use only. The artwork may not be copied, reproduced, scanned, printed, sold, licensed or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Louise Attley Art.
Due to the hand-painted and bespoke nature of commissioned artwork, each piece is created as a one-off original. A preliminary sketch may be provided for approval before painting begins. Once the sketch has been approved, the artwork will be completed in paint. At this stage, only minor adjustments may be possible. Significant changes or revisions after approval are not included and may not be possible.
Louise Attley Art aims to capture likeness, character and overall feel; however, artistic interpretation forms part of the creative process. By placing a commission, the customer confirms they have reviewed example work and understand the style and approach of Louise Attley Art.
Commissioned artwork is non-refundable once work has commenced, unless the artwork is faulty or does not meet statutory consumer rights.
All commissioned artwork is created as an original, hand-painted piece. The long-term care of the artwork is the responsibility of the customer. Louise Attley Art is not responsible for damage, fading or deterioration resulting from environmental conditions, handling or framing.
Any timescales provided for commissioned artwork are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party sites and access them at your own risk.
Liability
All products and services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Louise Attley Art shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
